Beware the Revolutionary Guards is fiction in that none of the characters in
it existed as such and the dialogue is make believe, but the story is
inspired by actual events which occurred when a group of Israeli civilian
contractors unexpectedly found themselves caught up in the middle of the
Iranian revolution.

Faced with a truly desperate situation, the contractors regarded their
chances of escaping with their lives as negligible and resolved to arm
themselves, regard themselves as having been called up as Israeli
Reservists, and fight if their desperate attempts at bluff failed.

The result is a short but powerful thriller, full of danger, as the Israelis
metamorphose from fugitives to an aggressive fighting force.

James Lingard - educated at Dulwich College and University College
London - became a leading London solicitor specialising in insolvency and
banking law.

A former Council Member of the Association of Business Recovery
Professionals and of the European Association of Insolvency Practitioners,
he became a Judicial Chairman of the Insolvency Practitioners Tribunal.

He was the Chairman of the Joint Insolvency Examination Board and of
the Banking Law and the Insolvency Law Sub Committees of the City of London
Law Society.

He is the original author of Lingard's Bank Security Documents
